It has now been two months since I moved my business online. It has been a crazy couple of months and now I am getting on top of the additional work – some planned some not – it is a good time to share what I have learned.

  • The thing I love most about my business is the people I meet and interact with in-person and online. Our new circumstances have highlighted more than ever just how much each and every member of the GillyMac Community means to me and that you are all truly at the core of what my business is about.
  • As we moved online, it was a rocky time for everyone in the UK and the sewing groups and the friendship that had developed previously just moved online without missing a beat. It was amazing.
  • Using technology cleverly – a couple of camera’s and well thought through set up – and simple delivery of instructions is almost as good as being together in person. More than that, it will mean that I can teach the lovely people in the GillyMac Club, from Guernsey to Aberdeen and lots of places in between, and include them in class opportunities.

None of this is rocket science, but sometimes things and thanks-yous can get missed when life is so busy. I want to say thank you to you all.
