Ready to dive into bag making or simply enjoy a creative day sewing something beautiful? In this full-day workshop, you’ll make two stylish, practical projects: the Noodlehead Wool and Wax Tote and the Minimalist Wallet.

I’ll provide all the poppers, snaps, and interfacing to keep things simple — just bring your chosen fabrics and handles, and you’re all set.

Wool and Wax Tote

A timeless, sophisticated tote designed to pair two fabrics — typically with a sturdier contrast base such as waxed canvas. This elegant, easy-to-use bag looks great with anything and keeps your essentials close at hand.
The divided front pocket is perfect for keys, your phone, or items you need to grab quickly. Despite its name, this tote works beautifully in all kinds of fabrics!

Minimalist Wallet

After completing the tote, we’ll make the coordinating Minimalist Wallet. During class we’ll sew the mini version, and you’ll also receive the pattern and instructions to make the regular size at home later.
Choose a leather or fabric accent for the snap closure to add a refined personal touch. Inside, a zipped pocket, card slots, and a long cash pocket help keep everything organised.

as well as the interfacing required for both projects (cut to size) and offcuts of leather for the wallet accent if wanted.

Requirements for the Class

Ahead of the class you will be sent pattern and a detailed email suggesting exterior fabrics (denim, lightweight canvas, waxed canvas, curtain fabric) and lining fabrics (quilting cotton), handles (leather or webbing). Ideally you will cut out the fabric ahead of the class (or you may only manage to make the bag on the day). You can bring your own sewing machine or use a class machine, however in both cases you should bring your own threads and lunch.
