Firebird was a quilt designed for all to enjoy using a simple half-square triangle block throughout. Furthermore, the design has been created to provide the most impact with the minimum number of fabrics and very little waste. It uses eighteen different fabrics to create the quilt top.

I used Kona solids in my original Firebird. However, since this time, many classes have made the pattern using different colours and patterns of fabric.  I have indicated the Kona colours used in the pattern, but you can swap these out for your own choices of fabric and patterns.
