In last week’s blog, we learned how to make Half Square Triangle Blocks. This week I have written an easy baby quilt pattern using them. My Super Quilt Baby Quilt is a simple quilt that is a winner every time.
Each block is half colourful and half plain. You can use many attractive patterned fabrics can be used in this quilt. When they are spaced between the plains, they won’t clash or look out of synch. I used a palette of blues and aqua fabrics in my quilt, but this quilt can transform a mixture of scraps.
I demonstrated how to create the free motion large loops in a blog last month. The free motion loops are a favourite of mine, but if you prefer to use a walking foot, this blog in April will give you some great ideas.
In August, we will move on to the Flying Geese Block and an easy quilt pattern for you to try using it.
Let me know what you make. I love to see the patterns I post made up. You can send pictures to mail@gillymacdesigns.com, use #gillymacdesigns on Instagram and Twitter, or simply post a picture on my GillyMac Facebook page.
